It’s a gentle sky
Silver soft like satin
But squint of golden eye
Peeps through
To indicate the east
In case it matters
In case I need to get somewhere
It’s a mild nudge of morning
Smudge grey
To ease me into day
No sharp edge
No loud or boisterous wind
Is banging at the door
To roust me up and out
Just easy thought
And tranquil window pane
A sweet reminder
In case one needs reminding
You are here
