I feel the winds of change
aflutter in my chest
there is no sign of storm
but yet
a gale is rattling at my bones
a gust is at my brow
the ifs and whens
are wuthering
and restless birds catch
at my breath
like Petrels at my prow
the sun is steady
not a blink
she shines without a qualm
a cobalt sea
so mirror clear
reflects an anxious pond
a wild wave is pummeling
a tempest gathers force
a hurricane is readying
to blow me off my course
but yet
the day is silent
not a stir
not one
disheveled cloud
or thought
no urgent sky
no harried wind
and nothing overwrought
