The perfect breeze blew by
I almost missed it
I was just about to go inside
When then around the bend
She came
And lifted gently at my hair
Caressed my cheek as though
I were her child
She lingered with me momentarily
Then kissed a light goodbye
And wandered on
She rustled all the leaves
In me
And all the trees
A dusk enchanting song
And as she swept the clouds
And flew the swallows round
I thanked the night
For keeping me so long
